In loving memory of...

Bo Dudley

Leave a Note in Memory of Bo Dudley

Bo was one of the 159 pigs surrendered to us when we moved to Tennessee in 2021. He had just lost his partner when we took over, and we had to figure out the best space for him without knowing anything about his personality. Thankfully, pigs are resilient little survivors, and Bo was just fine. He lived with a small herd of lady-pigs, which seemed to suit him. His girls were Jude and Poppy, and while he was the smallest of the three, he never allowed them to take his bowl at meal time! He was a sassy little grandpa who loved a good belly-scritch in the sunshine, a ripe strawberry in the summer, and a cool popsicle on a hot day.

Arthritis is a terrible thing for our pig friends. Bo struggled with it pretty severely the last few months. We tried all the meds we could to help him, but eventually arthritis wins every time.

We were sad to lose him, and we honor Bo by choosing to celebrate the fact that he lived his life here in peace and safety, with all of his needs met.
