Chicory is one of six Meishan siblings (four girls and two boys) who came to the property as babies. Chicory is completely pink, and years of sun exposure early in life, without protection, have led him to develop squamous cell carcinoma. Chicory receives cryotherapy treatments at the university hospital and frequent sunscreen applications during the warmer months. Despite having the legs of a ballet dancer, Chicory is anything but graceful, as his big floppy ears make it a bit difficult to see! Where his sight may falter, Chicory’s nose does a good job of helping him navigate. A lover of human company, Chicory will always approach when called and eagerly accepts whatever is on offer, be it snacks, scritches or a sunscreen massage.
