Volunteers make an enormous positive impact in our ability to help the animals!

Make a difference

The Animal Care Crew is designed with the comfort of the animals in mind. As animals are more comfortable with regular caregivers, the minimum commitment is two shifts per month. For safety, we only accept volunteers 18 and older.

As a volunteer on the Animal Care Crew, your work might include:

Cleaning animal homes
Meal preparation
Changing waters
Basic medical care
Socialization activities

Volunteer Your Other Skills

We’re always looking for extra assistance with:

Office organization and administrative responsibilities
Contractor and construction projects, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and building work
Automotive maintenance and repair

For On-site Volunteers:

On-Site Commitment

I am applying for an on-site volunteer position with the Animal Care Crew at the TENNESSEE location of Odd Man Inn Animal Refuge. I understand and accept the minimum requirement of working two 4-hour shifts per month. I acknowledge that I need to schedule and attend an in-person volunteer orientation to be considered for this position.

For Remote Volunteers:

I am applying for a remote volunteer position with Odd Man Inn Animal Refuge. I understand that while I won't be working on-site, my role is vital in supporting the refuge's mission. I accept that remote volunteering has its own set of requirements, which will be detailed during the online orientation process.
