In loving memory of...

Albert

Albert was ALL SORTS of magic rolled into one giant pig body. He was a huge Red Wattle and one of the tallest pigs we’d ever met. That giant body is always the problem. Arthritis pain is a terrible thing for these huge sweethearts. We had been lifting Albert out of bed for awhile…lifting him out of the swamp…lifting him at mealtimes. In his last few months, he had become progressively weaker, eventually becoming too weak and painful to do it on his own. He was tired, and it was time.

Albert lived a very charmed life here with his family for nearly 11 years. He’s survived by his partner, Big Boss Charity, and his friends, Jedediah, Joey, Harlan, Yankee Wilbur, Pigeon, and all the fuzzy potatoes. He was a dominant alpha pig with a spicy demeanor that commanded respect. He loved the swamp. He loved his family. He hated hoof trims and adored Secret Snack days. He had a mind of his own and personality to match.

We’ll miss him, but we’re very grateful for the rare opportunity to have helped Albert live his full lifespan here.
