Damien embodied everything amazing about his species. Smart. Opinionated. Resilient. Beautiful. He lived an astounding TWENTY years. We are better humans for having known him and cared for him this last part of his life. We gave him every comfort we could muster. Extra bedding. Warm meals. Secret snacks. We gently helped him up each day for brekkie until he made it clear he wanted no more of that.
Damien was an incredible soul who was our friend… and he’s sorely missed here. He was respected and loved by us all.
