All three members of the Shroom family were found wandering in a very rural area and were taken to a community shelter. We showed up, and we were greeted by staff who were eager and excited to send these strays to a better situation. The whole family…Dad Truffle, Mom Chanterelle, and a sole surviving baby, Button! Chanterelle is bunking in the Cantina with her little beansprout. They have air conditioning and lots of good food, which is all she could possibly hope for in the summer heat!
We’re very slowly and respectfully earning Mama Chanterelle’s trust, and she’s letting us befriend Baby Button. She’s always right next to him, and we always come bearing gifts of produce for her. The little Shroom family will be reunited very soon.
